Whether you want a picnic with friends and family in the beautiful Pleasure Grounds or to stop for a sandwich, hot meal or cream tea in one of the cafés, there are a variety of choices within the House & Gardens.
Treehouse Café
This light and airy café offers a selection of tasty sandwiches with fresh fillings and paninis, alongside a variety of hot and cold meals and refreshments. The Treehouse Café is located at the entrance of our House & Gardens, open from 10am to 5.30pm during the open season. For younger visitors, there are children's lunch boxes complete with a choice of ham or cheese sandwiches, treat, and crisps.
Stables
Set within the charming and historic surroundings of the house, the Stables is a space to enjoy a meal or a light snack. Only open during the open season, serving a seasonal hot and cold buffet, refreshing drinks, and the quintessentially British cream tea. Accessible toilets available in the stables.
Ice Cream Kiosk
Located conveniently within the Adventure Playground, the ice cream kiosk is a favourite among families. Open during school holidays and weekends throughout the 2025 season, the kiosk offers a range of delicious ice creams, refreshing drinks, and a selection of confectionery.
Picnics
You can find the perfect spot for a picnic, with benches next to the Treehouse Café and in the Adventure Playground — both with gorgeous landscape views. Please note that barbeques are not permitted anywhere within the grounds, including the car park.
