Learn the art of Indian block printing.

Join us at Bowood House & Gardens with Marea Brown and discover the ancient art of Indian block printing and create your own beautiful designs using a wide range of hand carved blocks. Print either a table runner or a set of napkins or any three other items of your choice (tea towels, tote bags, cushion covers, aprons; or scarves) which you can take home on the day.

There will be a demonstration and then you will practise on old fabric until you are ready to create your own designs. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron.
There will be a few printing blocks and blank textiles available to buy at the end for anyone who is interested in pursuing this craft at home.

Entry into Bowood House & Gardens is included and you are free to wander either before or after your session during our opening hours on the day.

Please be advised there are roadworks on the approach to the entrance into Bowood House & Gardens in Derry Hill. Access into Bowood House & Gardens ​will remain open and please follow the diversion signs. We suggest you leave extra time for your arrival to avoid possible delays.
