Children’s Birthday Parties
Celebrate your child’s birthday in style with advance discounted group admission prices (15+ppl). The Gardeners’ Bothy, located close to the Adventure Playground, is the ideal venue to host your child’s birthday lunch or tea. There is space for party games inside or on the grass directly outside. Gardeners’ Bothy hire has an additional fee of £150 per day (subject to availability).
Children’s Birthday Parties of +15 people can be booked in advance, at discounted ticket prices:
- Adult (17+): £14.50
- Senior (60+): £12.40
- Young Adult (13-16): £10.80
- Junior (7-12): £10.80
- Child (2-6): £8.70
- Infant (0-2) : £FOC
- Gardeners’ Bothy hire: £150.00
Children’s Birthday Party bookings that involve hire of the Gardeners’ Bothy require an advance payment of £150.00 to secure the booking. Day Tickets for your guests can be booked online in advance or on the day at Admissions. Food and drink are not included in the prices, although this can be sourced separately, if required. 2026 Season Ticket Holders receive a 10% discount off the hire of the Gardeners' Bothy (please quote the number on the reverse of your Season Ticket card).

Tour Group Events
Groups that are booked on to a tour or are enjoying self-guided access to Bowood House & Gardens can also book the Gardeners’ Bothy, which is an ideal location for refreshments. Gardeners’ Bothy hire has an additional fee of £150 per day (subject to availability).
Groups of +15 people can be booked in advance, at discounted ticket prices:

- Gardeners’ Bothy hire: £150.00
All group bookings require a deposit of £50.00 to secure the booking at least 90 days prior to the date of the visit. This amount is deducted from the final balance, which is required 14 days prior to the booking. Should your booking include hire of the Gardeners’ Bothy, the deposit payment will instead be refunded within 7 days of the event, should no damages be incurred. Food and drink are not included in the prices.

Education & Schools
The Gardeners’ Bothy is available to educational groups including schools, nurseries, SEND groups, further education providers and home educators on a complimentary basis (subject to availability).
Located close to the Adventure Playground, it is an ideal space for groups, with room for activities indoors or on the lawn just outside. It also provides a great wet weather option, with tables and chairs available for lunch.

Educational Visits include entry into Bowood House & Gardens, an educational session lasting approximately 60 minutes and access to self-led activities. An Educational Visit booking form must be completed, signed and returned to confirm your booking.
Free school pre-visit recces are possible for two members of the teaching team. This must be booked in advance.

Venue Hire
Bowood House & Gardens has been hosting large and small scale third party events for over 50 years. We can accommodate events for everyone whether for sports, music, lifestyle, wellness, art and culture.
Our main event space can accommodate a capacity of 10,000 people (c. 30 acres) and has plentiful event parking for 3,500 cars (c. 25 acres). Three principal areas are available, offering flexibility to suit all types and scale of events. Other areas of the Estate and Bowood Lake are available for event use, depending on the proposed activities. The wider Estate can accommodate up to 30,000 people for larger festival style events, subject to discussion.
Bowood’s experienced Events Manager works closely with all event organisers to ensure all venue requirements are managed in collaboration with the event organisers plans. Bowood has an established working relationship with Wiltshire Council and we hold our own premises licence. Bowood can support marketing activity to increase audience reach and promote events in the region.

Corporate Events
Bowood House & Gardens can create small tailor-made corporate team-building or family events or offer a larger event space in front of Bowood House for larger corporate events, whether that is a team building day or a corporate family event inside the grounds.
You can host your event within the Gardeners’ Bothy (close to the Walled Garden) or hire the event space on the front lawn. The Gardeners' Bothy offers an exclusive area with indoor space and private facilities, respite from the weather, the space directly outside allows for al fresco entertaining and/or small fun activities.
Alternatively, our larger event space offers the backdrop of one of the most beautiful stately homes in Wiltshire, with a capacity of 10,000 people and ample event parking. Whether you wish to bring in your own suppliers and catering or require our contacts to secure pop-up festival-style caterers, team building activities including fun fairground games, falconry displays or face-painting we can help.

Car Clubs
Bowood House & Gardens has been a popular destination for car clubs. Bowood offers the perfect backdrop for vintage, classic, modern, super and hyper car clubs and displays. There are a variety of options from standard group booking rates, through to bespoke car displays and events on Bowood’s front lawn.
With beautiful routes throughout the Estate, Bowood has tarmac drives, multiple entry and exits, speed bump-free routes, as well as discounts on our catering facilities and/or selection of exclusive food and drink traders; should your event be held on our front lawn (this requires 50 cars plus). With well maintained grounds our front law can accommodate 500+ vehicles with additional parking in our event fields for up to 3,500 vehicles.
