Bowood Memories

"Amazing house, gardens and walks. The house is only a fragment of the original building but is still magnificent, with about four large rooms downstairs and a large exhibition upstairs. The outside of the house and the formal gardens are beautiful."

Dave Puls (Tripadvisor Review)

"There's ample parking and, after a bit of a walk past the Bothy and children's playground, we got to the house and parterre gardens. The gardens are very nice with lots of photo ops. We took our time wandering and then went into the house itself which opened after the gardens. Who knew that oxygen was discovered here? Lots to read about the scientist involved."

"The house and grounds are beautiful, really well kept. The girls loved exploring the grounds and seeing the wildlife. The guides were really knowledgeable and friendly, taking the time to engage with both the girls and give them things to look for as we explored."

BeFit Cornwall (Google Review)

"We enjoyed going around the lake, looking at the small waterfall and going through the small caves. We also enjoyed looking at the magnificent trees which had incredible history. A great location. There was a music festival the night we arrived and we could hear them testing the audio system, that would have been impressive to see, what a location for a concert!"
