Arriving at 10:00, you will be greeted and introduced to our Head Gardener, David Glass who will take you on a 90-minute guided tour of the terrace garden and Walled Garden. David will provide you with detailed information on the history of the gardens and advise you on how his team care for the gardens throughout the year.
You will be issued with a 10% discount card, which you can redeem in the Treehouse Café and the Stables (weekends & school holidays only) during your visit (including lunches or refreshments).
These tours require around 90 minutes of walking with limited seating. The paths around the House and Grounds are gravel therefore wheelchairs and pushchairs may find it difficult, there is also steps leading down onto the lower terrace garden.
Max. 15 places per tour. All tours must be pre booked in advance.

Following the tour visitors can continue with self-guided access of the House, Gardens and Pleasure Grounds (including the Arboretum, Doric Temple, Cascade and Hermits Cave). Access to the Walled Garden is available to all visitors from 12:00 - 16:30. Bowood House & Gardens closes at 17:30. Last entry into Bowood House and the Terrace Gift Shop is 16:00.
