Pumpkin Trail

On arrival collect an activity trail booklet from admissions and follow the Pumpkin Trail through the Arboretum with fun activities to complete along the way.
Dress up in your spookiest costume and pose for a photo in one of our selfie frames!
Please be advised that the trail takes place on a mixed terrain within our Arboretum which can get wet and muddy, so walking boots or wellies are advised.
The Pumpkin Trail is included within Bowood House & Gardens day tickets, complimentary to season ticket holders.

Mud & Guts
Experience den building, game playing and fun all within an inspiring, learning and educational environment with Mud & Guts.

Please note Mud & Guts activities are in the woods next to our visitor car park (outside the House & Gardens), so you do not need to purchase a Day Ticket, however should the participant wish to visit they will receive a 50% off our Day Ticket price on the day, purchased on the day at admissions.
Season Ticket Holders should purchase their tickets from the Members Ticket Area.
Creepy Critters with ZooLab UK
Get up close and hands-on with real live animals at 'Creepy Critters'. Meet the likes of Snakes, Giant Snails, Tarantulas and more in this interactive show - the perfect addition to the spooky Halloween Holidays.
These fun 45 minute indoor workshops will give children insights into amazing creatures and their behaviour, including fun facts and the opportunity to hold one of them (if you are brave enough!).
DATES: Tuesday 28th October, Wednesday 29th October, Thursday 30th October, Friday 31st October and Saturday 1st November, located in the Gardeners' Bothy and morning and afternoon sessions are available on selected dates.
PRICE: Price £8.00 per child (with free entry into the workshop for one accompanying parent).
The workshop is NOT included in normal House & Gardens Day Tickets, House & Gardens admission fees apply, a separate Day Ticket will need to be purchased to gain access into the House & Gardens for the workshop.
Autumn Colours Bowood's Arboretum
Located in the Pleasure Grounds, comprises of over 700 species of trees, included in the extensive range are champion trees, which are the tallest or largest of their kind in Britain. During Autumn they put on a spectacular show of colours, a visual treat as the seasonal maroons, crimsons, scarlet, oranges, yellows and golds spread out across the Arboretum and Bowood grounds.
