Learning & Development Manager

This is a newly created and a very unique role which will focus on L&D across all business sectors of the Estate, and will have a particular focus on our hospitality and leisure businesses.

You will be at the forefront of shaping our L&D training initiatives, ensuring our teams growth aligns with our core values and service standards. The position offers an exciting opportunity to design and deliver impactful training programs to increase skill and performance.

Work Pattern:
Permanent. Full time - 40 hours per week

Salary:
£35,000 - £40,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis to develop and implement a comprehensive L&D plan for The Estate to build high performing teams.
  • Create and deliver bespoke training programmes aligned with development needs and our core values and strategic goals.
  • Oversee, coordinate and run training sessions, ensuring content remains relevant and engaging, and ensure it meets compliance standards and industry best practice.
  • Collaborate and communicate across The Estate with Senior Leaders and relevant internal stakeholders to identify training needs and delivery of courses.
  • Support and collaborate with internal departments/stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of our on-the-job training and inductions through participation and feedback.
  • Contribute to personal development and culture through the creation and delivery of the Appraisal process.
  • Support career paths with appropriate competencies to support succession plans and develop existing talent.
  • Liaise and work closely with our HR team.
  • Provide efficient, effective and a customer focused service which supports all aspects of training, learning and development across the Estate.

Successful candidates will:

• Have proven experience of working as a L&D professional, ideally with considerable hospitality and/or leisure experience.
• CIPD Level 5 or qualified by experience.
• Have in-depth experience of creating effective appraisal and L&D programmes, working with Heads of Department to ensure that the right capabilities and competencies are in place.
• Have the ability to facilitate group training as well as confidently present information in one-to-one and small group situations.
• Demonstrable ability to collaborate and influence colleagues at all levels across The Estate.
• Have the ability to work cohesively as part of a small HR team, and able to build strong positive working relationships across a headcount of c.250 employees.
• Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to adapt communication style to different situations.
• Have the ability to work on multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Have a professional, engaging and friendly personality, with a positive outlook and the desire to develop and inspire others.
