Director of Golf
This is a unique opportunity to join the team at the beautiful Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort as a Director of Golf.
The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the overall strategy, leadership and performance of the golf department, including:
• Driving revenue across memberships, visitor golf, corporate days, retail and the Golf Academy
• Leading and developing the golf team to deliver exceptional service standards
• Strengthening Bowood’s reputation as a leading PGA golf destination
• Working closely with Sales and Marketing to grow golf related business
• Enhancing the member and guest experience across all golf facilities
• Managing budgets, financial performance and departmental targets
• Supporting the continued development and profile of the Bowood PGA Academy
About You
We are looking for a motivated and commercially aware PGA Professional or golf industry leader who thrives in a dynamic resort environment.
You will bring:
• Proven leadership experience within a golf operation
• Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills
• A passion for delivering exceptional service and member engagement
• The ability to grow membership, visitor and corporate golf business
• The confidence to represent Bowood within the wider golf industry
Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort is seeking an outstanding Director of Golf to lead one of the South West’s most exciting resort golf operations.
Home to the official PGA Golf Course and Academy for the South West of England, Bowood offers a superb 18 hole championship course designed by Dave Thomas, a Golf Academy, driving range and thriving membership. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Golf will lead the entire golf operation, driving commercial performance while ensuring an exceptional experience for members, hotel guests, societies and corporate clients.
This is a high profile leadership role within the resort’s senior management team, requiring a dynamic and commercially minded individual who can inspire their team and grow the business.
