Part-time Kitchen Gardener
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Kitchen Gardener (2-3 days per week) to join the friendly Bowood team.
This is a hands-on role, working directly under the Head Gardener to maintain and enhance the award-winning Gardens at Bowood House. The position requires a strong work ethic, flexible attitude and an excellent attention to detail.
Candidates must have a good understanding of growing fruit and vegetables, to be used in the various outlets within the business. We anticipate 2/3 of time spent will be within the kitchen garden and 1/3 of time spent on general garden duties, to include pruning and general gardens maintenance. Candidates should be happy working at height from ladders for hedge cutting and pruning.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about gardening and have at least two years relevant experience, ideally including time spent working in a comparable garden. Relevant horticultural qualifications are desirable, though are certainly not essential.
